Dick Levesque was in the Coast Guard for twenty plus years but his love of the sea actually started when he was a young boy. Growing up in San Francisco, mingling with the fishermen on the Wharf, talking with Merchant Seamen and climbing the rocky cliffs at Lands End, his work reflects a lifelong passion for all things nautical including several images of Coast Guard Cutters and boats, past and present.

Bryan has made a career out of art and illustration through working with various company’s and organizations. His interests in aviation and the space program since the Apollo shots have always provided him with a fascination with flight and aircraft. Bryan started drawing scribbling at an early age and has stuck with that ever since. Painting aircraft and military subjects have really began to culminate as his involvement with the Muskegon Air Fair in 1997. After working with Pratt & Whitney for several of their promotions, the fire for painting aircraft started to kindle. His true love for art has given him a unique privilege in being a military artist for the Air Force, Navy US Coast Guard and the Marine Corps. He was accepted into the Air Force Art Program in October of 2002. Since then has produced four pieces for AFAPO. Bryan’s pieces are in collections worldwide and with military units all over the United States. Traveling with the US Navy and the Air Force has been quite an experience for the artist and has enhanced Bryan’s abilities and experience.

William H. RaVell III is a member of the International Society Of Marine Painters. He is a retired U. S. Coast Guard Chief Warrant Officer who has been painting for over fifty years. His years of ship-board duty has enabled him to realistically capture the effects of wind and tide on the sea.
Although Bill specializes in marine art, he also loves to paint landscapes, seascapes, animals and portraits. His paintings are part of many corporate, private, and military collections including the United States Coast Guard Museum and U. S. Coast Guard Academy Officers' Club. He also takes commissions. Retired Captain Billy Richardson served all over the country in his 29 years of service in the Coast Guard. He graduate the Coast Guard Academy in 1954. Served on the Mendota, went to Navy Flight training in Pensacola, then spent his career at Air Stations. He served at Air Station’s St. Petersbug, Bermuda, Brooklyn, Elizabeth City, San Francisco (Executive Officer), New Orleans (Commanding Officer), and then finally back to Elizabeth City as the Commanding Officer where he then retired in 1979.
He’s a member of the Pterodactyls and the CoGap (Coast Guard Art Program). He likes to paint everything he flew ranging from JRBs, P5Ms, H04s, HUSs (H-34 in present terms) and with the release of the movie The Guardian he increased his subjects to include the H-65 and H-60.

Betty Vestuto brings a unique approach to her Coast Guard art. Her trademark art is based on ships and lighthouses painted on top of nautical charts. Betty who now lives in the Northwest is a native Californian who has had a lifelong passion for nautical themes. Her art is owned by the likes of Shirley MacLaine, former California Governor now Attorney General, Jerry Brown, and Dom DeLuise.
