The crew aboard Chinese Maritime Safety Administration ship Haixun 31 arrives at Aloha Tower in Honolulu Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The Haixun 31 crew sailed past Coast Guard Base Honolulu during its arrival. The Haixun 31 crew followed behind a Honolulu Fire Department fireboat Moku Ahi and was escorted into port by the crew of the 110-foot Coast Guard Cutter Galveston Island during a parade of ships.

SAN DIEGO A crewman from the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Morgenthau, a 378-foot high-endurance cutter based in Alameda, Calif., stands watch as other crewmembers offload more than four tons of cocaine at Naval Base San Diego. U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy and U.S. Customs and Border Protection crews also detained 22 suspected smugglers.

CAPE MAY, N.J. - Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Jamie Kosakowski and Mr. Ryan Geraghty, both firefighters at Training Center Cape May, access a truck with simulated chemical smoke during a hazardous material response exercise at the training center. The Coast Guard participated in the exercise along with numerous state and local agencies.

HOUSTON - Coast Guard crewmembers from Air Station Houston test their dry suits for leaks at the 288 Lakes sports training facility. The crewmembers conducted annual wet training, which included life raft procedures, basic ship board damage control and flare training.

Coast Guard Sector Columbia River's Incident Management Division is responsible for overseeing oil and hazardous material clean-up on the Pacific Coast from the California border, north to the Queets River, Wash., and up the Columbia River to the Bonneville Dam. The IMD responds to more than 230 pollution cases annually.

The Coast Guard Cutter Spencer, a 270-foot medium endurance cutter homeported in Portsmith, Va., sits at anchor in the Mississippi near the heart of downtown New Orleans. The cutter Spencer is in town to aid in the relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina victims in the greater New Orleans area.
